This year, Billboard named Lil Baby’s "My Turn" the No. 1 R&B/Hip-Hop Album of the 21st Century. How? Why?
When we have game-changing and record-setting classics from Kanye, Kendrick, Drake, Beyoncé, OutKast, The Weeknd and Jay-Z and other genre defing masterpieces, how in the world does "My Turn" sit on the throne?
This isn’t about if Billboard's decision is right or wrong, but rather, how did we get here?
If "My Turn" really beat out every R&B and hip-hop album since 2000, then
either Billboard is onto something, or the way we crown greatness in this era has completely changed.
