If we knew in advance the work and emotional roller coaster parenting would take us on, most would run the other direction.

But when it comes to children, we cannot give up on the blessing that's before us. As parents, we have to hunker down and fight for what's right by being the anchor for our children.

However, that doesn't mean we give them everything on a silver platter. Life lessons are best learned in the trenches.

As a parent, you are the everyday teacher in your child's life. You are their greatest influencer.

So take AIM on what matters and facilitate an atmosphere of growth.

There is no have to.

• You GET to facilitate.
• You GET to build up.
• You GET to encourage.
• You GET to have hard conversations.
• You GET to make memories.
• You GET to teach the hard knocks of life.
• You GET to pray.
• You GET to celebrate the wins.
• You GET to cry when failure wins.
• You GET to hug so tightly.
• You GET to lose sleep.
• You GET to love unconditionally.
• You GET to parent.

So don't run away. Don't throw in the towel whether life is tough or easy.

Facilitate an atmosphere of growth with grit, grind, and grace.

1. GRIT - Persevere with passion for the goal at hand. What does your child need to learn in this circumstance/situation? These are the teachable moments.
2. GRIND - Life is hard, but the reward is greater. Keep at what matters. And you may have to ask yourself a thousand times in one day, "Why am I doing this?" Because you parent! Because you are facilitating an atmosphere of growth.
3. GRACE - Always have your heart open to love unconditionally. That doesn't mean you give a pass and not parent. You give them a place to fall and learn in the midst of failure and success.

Mastering the in-between is not easy, but you will make it through. Do not fear what is possible.
