The "Buzzing" Prequel: February 27, 1966

Jane felt Seth “buzzing around” after some guests left, leading to an unscheduled late-night session. Here’s the lowdown on the "pre-game" insights:

• Dream Therapy: Seth tackled a heavy dream Rob had about his father’s death. Good news: his dad (at 75) isn't going anywhere yet. Seth noted the dream was a manifestation of subconscious fears and a lack of easy communication between the two.
• The Power of Suggestion: Seth dropped a major hack for manifestation—do it daily. He explained that out of 30 days, only three or four might be "jackpot" days where suggestion really hits the personality's deep levels. Since we don't know which days are the winners, you can't afford to skip.
• Pillow Talk: Seth suggested Jane should learn to sleep without a pillow to help with tension. He pointed out her subconscious already knew this, as she often pushed it away. He also noted she sleeps with clenched hands, which sends tension crawling up her arms and neck.

Seth gave some direct quotes and instructions on how the future "Seth Book" should be structured:

• Controversy is Coming: Seth predicted the ESP book would be "the most controversial of the year" in its field.
• Seth remarked, "The material on reincarnation will appear consistent and logical only within the whole framework. The objections of many will be offset only when the reincarnational data is seen in the light of a full understanding of the spacious present and the inverted time system."
• He suggested the middle of the book should dive into the construction of physical matter, "moment points," and the dream universe to capture the reader's imagination before hitting them with the evidence.

Psychic Hits: The 36th Envelope Experiment

Jane (as Seth) managed to "see" inside an envelope containing a drawing Rob made at work. It was a sticker for "John’s Bargain Store."

• Visual Bullseye: Jane picked up on "ribbon-like shapes," "dark smudges," and "star shapes." These perfectly matched the messy pencil smudges on the back of Rob’s tracing paper and the six-pointed star in his artwork.
• The "Key Value" Hit: She felt a "small round object" and "horizontal lines." Rob’s drawing was a circle containing the words "Key Value" set between horizontal bars.
