On March 31st, J-Live will release his 7th album, "His Own Self;" an album with zero features. When asked on The Library with Tim Einenkel what if their were any challenges to being the only MC on the album, J-Live said:

"I don't know if it's so much dominating the time on the mic was a challenge as much as when you take off that artist hat and put on that marketing hat, a lot of times when you're putting together the one-sheet for a record, one of the selling points is for the distributor, the retailer, for the stores is who else is involved in it...”
