As humans, I think our need to know is one of our greatest faults. Like, our ability to confidently arrive at the answer of “I don’t know” is nearly nonexistent..
Humans require an explanation for everything. We have endless access to information and it has really spoiled us and corrupted our ability to conceive contentment in the unknown because we feel so in control as we’re privileged to so much information.
We’ve idolized knowledge and confused understanding with contentment.
And it’s like our peace rests in the reasoning, it rests in the answers, but there are some things in this world that cannot be reasoned, that can only be speculated. So, if that’s where we are looking for our peace, we’ll never ever find it.
