In this sermon, church member, James Newton looks at how and why God tested Abraham's faith. He looks at the unique nature of this test, and why God would ask seemingly such an abhorrent thing from Abraham. He celebrates Abraham's costly obedience and his confidence in God even to be able to raise the dead. Finally he looks at God's provision of a substitute for Isaac, and how through Jesus Christ God has provided a substitute for us too- but at a far greater cost!
