24. Harness your Anger and Turn it into Rocketfuel - with Adam Golden Eagle

Listen Later

Today I'm speaking with Adam Golden Eagle about stepping into living your most authentic life - and my favorite part is talking to him about harnessing your anger and turning into rocket fuel.

Listen for the following Hiply tools, Catch the Hiply feeling and find your Inner Peace self, the It's Okay technique and the feeling word tar, which always point to and unmet need, which I reframe the three hiply universal longings, peace, love and freedom.

Adam defines an authentic life by really showing up to your soul calling each and every day and having the courage to really deeply listen to that calling.

Adam's healing journey has been that of a warrior or wizards. He has been called to alchemize and transmute a lot of traumatic experiences from an early childhood stage. He has lived in nine different countries, and grew up in a  dysfunctional family.

We talk about the Inner Peace Self, that is connected to the Divine, and all the parts of us, that carry cultural shame and burdens or all varieties. We can learn to speak kindly to all our parts. How we speak to ourselves is how we show up in the world.

Adam has benefited from therapy and has been blessed from being connected with powerful spiritual teachers, in Italy, and from Tibbetan Buddhism. Self compassion and total self acceptance.

Adam points out that there's not only external freedom but an infinite internal freedom. What if we could actually realize that inside ourselves, we have a whole multiverse of space and time and possibilities.? What if this is happening for me and not to me?

When we run into a tarry situation with ourselves or with others we can show more internal compassion and show up with curiosity and creativity. Conflict is an opportunity for growth. Tarry feelings point to unmet needs and help us figure out how to shift things. Old patterning and programming comes in that says I'm right and you're wrong, which means we have to defend, judge instead of figuring out what is going on.

Adam has learned and teaches how to feeling into those tarry feelings, really be with the anger and transmute it and alchemize it into rocket fuel and summarizes is as follows:

1. Realization - that you are having the experience
2. Compassion - cultivate compassion for self - it's ok not to be ok.
3. Make sure your basic needs are met, take action to meet those needs for self, time, space
4. Be humble and vulnerable to see what the emotion is showing you, why is this happening FOR me.

It is courageous to be humble and vulnerable and to get curious instead of act out on the anger. That gives us the courage and power to be there hero of our own journey (instead of the victim).
