May is Mental Health Awareness Month. My very special first guest is a friend of mine who not only has personal experience in regards to mental health, but has also worked in the field helping others! Adam is an assistant fire chief for Vacherie-Gheens Volunteer Fire Company and is now an industrial firefighter on the emergency response team at a local chemical plant. In this episode, you can hear Adam discuss his challenges with mental health not only in his personal life but also from his professional life by being a first responder.
I appreciate Adam's honesty so much and am truly humbled that he agreed to discuss all that he did on the podcast so that his message could be put out into the world! If you need help with either your mental health or are interested in hearing more about what it is like to be a first responder, you can find Adam on Facebook under his name, or you can email him at [email protected].
