💊 STATINS...everyone's on them and lots of people stop them!

In this JournalChat, we caught up cardiologist Dr. James Howard, one of the co-authors of the SAMSON trial published in last months New England Journal of Medicine and featured in last months Round-Up.

James is a cardiology registrar at Imperial College, London. He chats to us about statin side effects, how the Nocebo effect might play a role, and how the SAMSON trial might help us better counsel patients about side effects. He also takes us behind the scenes of the N-of-1 trial design and we explore how it could be used in further trials and clinical practice.
