Jesus held no distinction between people. His friends were not determined by their wealth or interests. He accepted people as they were, giving them dignity and hope. Most of us know 'who we are'. We're aware of our inability to live to expectations and find ourselves disappointed within and with others. Jesus understood the struggles and respected and loved in a way that made people feel worthy again. Might we be a friend that way to someone today?
