Sonja quit her job, sold her furniture and belongings and traveled around South and Central America. During this trip, she learned how to freelance write only to discover she loved it. She also learned how to surf, which is super fun. 

After that trip, she published her first novel, Toy of The Gods. She has published sequels to this book and hopes to finish the series soon. She founded Plot Duckies, a publishing company that helps people self-publish and she founded The Women’s Thriller Writers Association.  

She is a best-selling author, award-winning creative writer and publisher.
