Surrender was not part of my vocabulary when I came into AA. Then, when I got to Step 3, I discovered that, when I turned my will and my life over to the care of my God, things went well. When I loved the feelings that followed this, I learned that this was just another way of saying Surrender. I was willing to continue doing this because things improved drastically when I did.
