“Energy follows thought” is a basic tenet of the Ascension Science teachings of Fifth Epochal Revelation.  Van of Urantia teaches “thought to disease” - the understanding that all disease has origin in thoughts that are out of alignment with God and out of divine pattern.  Fifth Epochal Revelation teaches that pride and selfishness are a result of the Lucifer Rebellion which started approximately 200,000 years ago and is the cause of the various forms of dis-ease on our world today.

Van of Urantia encourages prayer as an antidote to pride; prayer is an act of humility and thankfulness to God.  Prayer helps us overcome the lower nature.  Van shares this simple but powerful teaching, “We overcome evil by doing good.  The spirit is always stronger than the flesh.  Do the right thing.”
