Fun Fact: Professor Reuven Feuerstein (who's program LifePix University is based on) spoke about the concept of neuroplasticity in the 50s and 60s when it only became socially accepted in the 90s!
Neuroplasticity is the brains a building to grow new neuron connections. This means at any age or stage of you life you can learn something new and change the way your brain is wired. You can destroy old pathways and build the ones you like. How cool is that?!
After being stuck in bed for three years, Ben used the power of neuroplasticity to change the stress response to improve health & emotional regulation. Yes, that is possible. All it takes is changing the neuron connections in your brain.
3 Steps to making the change:
1)Being conscious and aware. As always;)
2) Interrupting the pattern
3) Build a new response
Ben spent the past 10 years working with some of the world's top doctors and neuroscientists to understand how people truly heal and grow, both individually as well as in relationships. He also gave a popular TED talk where he discussed his own personal healing journey, recovering from chronic Lyme disease. And most recently, Ben formed "The Brain Trust" a Co-founded "re-origin" - which is a science-based, self-directed neuroplasticity program and community which teaches individuals how to retrain their brains, regulate the stress response, and return to feeling like themselves again.
