This program will discuss the lies, sedition, and blatant racist demagoguery inherent in the New York Times promoted 1619 Project. Five of the most widely read and respected authorities on US history, with a combined 250 years devoted to analyzing the American Revolution, the Civil War and Reconstruction, sent the NY Times a letter requesting that the Times correct the historical falsifications that form the basis of the 1619 Project. Among the statements in their letter, the historians addressed the central falsehood with the following words: “The 1619 project asserts that the founders declared the colonies’ independence of Britain “in order to ensure slavery would continue.” This is not true. If supportable, the allegation would be astounding—yet every statement offered by the project to validate it is false.”
What the 1619 Project is doing is “picking the scab” of wounded race relations that occurred decades ago due to the failure of the society to live up to the ethics stated in the Declaration of Independence (We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.) The 1619 Project is part of the mainstream media scheme to get our focus off the current corruption and incompetence of the government to direct us to address issues long ago resolved. The 1619 Project is a document that contains numerous erroneous claims and egregious myths about the early history of the English colonies in North America, portraying them as structurally racist, in order to Balkanize the population and foster social discord. The NY Times, the purveyors of the 1619 Project, don’t want the wounds inflicted on our society to heal; they want the wounds to fester until our society, and the entire US, collapses, thus removing the last impediment to the implementation of a one-world socialist dictatorship.
