Today’s episode is with Darren Kelley and Julie Cutting-Kelley. Julie & Darren are two highly trained chefs who have been representing the seacoast's food scene for nearly their entire adult lives. They own Cure Restaurant, a local favorite at which Julie is the Executive Chef, in Portsmouth, NH, and Emerald Elevation, a high end edible manufacturer in Eliot, ME. They take me through how they came to be while touching on the challenges of being married and raising children while working in their industry.
During the episode we talk about how powerful food can be. Whether that is personally or within your community. It was amazing to see people who were successful in the food scene make the transition into edibles while applying a lot of the same principles. Make good products with high end ingredients and be adaptable to the times. Lastly, we discuss the future of the edible market.
