#25: Empyromancy

Listen Later

This week the Cru gets experimental! We try out different styles of literature as we explore fortune and fire (and cooking as it’s own kind of magic).  Stories begin around the 10 minute mark.
From Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable
Empyromancy. An ancient method of divination by observing the behaviour of certain objects when placed on a sacrificial fire (Greek empurous, 'fiery'). Eggs, flour and incense were used for this purpose as well as, it seems, a shoulder blade.
