25 - Navigating Anger: Finding Peace Through Self-Awareness

Listen Later

In this episode I discuss the importance of self-awareness in navigating through anger peacefully. I reference Brene Brown's book "Atlas of the Heart" and share personal experiences to illustrate the concept. I emphasize the importance of not rushing through the initial surface feeling of anger, but instead getting curious about the underlying emotions. By identifying and acknowledging these emotions, we can validate them and avoid dismissing our own needs and emotions. My process of dealing with anger involves acknowledging my feelings, exploring the underlying triggers, identifying my needs and communicating effectively with others so I can honor my inner voice. Tune in to hear a live example of exactly what this sounds like.
