It's ridiculously hard to pull yourself away when people are talking about juicy details of someone else. There are good times and mostly bad times to talk about others behind ther back and gossip.  But mostly it causes problems for everyone involved, even the casual listener. Understand where gossip comes from and how it makes you looks by participating in it.
