What immediately comes to mind when you hear the word “suffering”? Losing someone? Some kind of trauma you’ve experienced? An illness or injury? A difficult relationship? Finances? There could be a million things, but regardless of the specifics, the word is sharp, and it pierces us deeply. 

It’s very important that we, as Christians, understand what suffering is, especially from a biblical perspective. This episode explains first why it’s important for us understand suffering, then the origin and types of suffering, and finally, some common responses to suffering.
