It’s been more than 50 years since residents of Point Pleasant woke up to these words stretched across the front page of the newspaper:
“Couples See Man-Sized Bird… Creature… Something.”
Join us this week as Anastasia tells the story of one of our favorite cryptids- The Mothman. Popularized by "The Mothman Prophecies," this bipedal winged being has fascinated us for years, earning a annual festival in its hometown of Point Pleasant. Mothman eyewitnesses have shared their stories, documenting what they experienced that fateful night on November 15, 1966.
Sightings have continued over the years, always foreshadowing some type of disaster. But is Mothman really a harbinger of disaster or just a unfortunate hybrid science experiment gone wrong? You'll have to listen to find out!
