On October 5th, 2005 Twilight was first published. It has been 16 years. With over 100 million copies sold in 37 different languages, and the creation of a successful movie franchise, there is no question of the impact that Twilight has had on the YA genre and the world. Twilight has a hold on our generation, and it is not letting go anytime soon.
Join Chelsea and Taryn this week as they discuss Meyers's debut novel. This was Taryn's first time reading it, and Chelsea's first time since 5th grade. Both found that reading this story with adult eyes definitely changed how they viewed some of the themes and relationships within the novel. While they may have critiques about the writing and plot, they cannot argue that it was one of their most entertaining reads of the year.
**SPOILER WARNING** Usually there would be an alarm to signify spoilers, but they were too excited and just started spoiling things early on. So if you haven't read or watched Twilight yet and you somehow have not been on the internet for the last 16 years, then you have been warned.
