I also want to clarify that you should NOT be afraid of calories and you should NOT be restricting your calories. But it is also important to be aware of calories and to not massively overeat on a regular basis because this does have an impact on your overall health. The focus of your food should be the quality of what you're eating (whole plant foods high in nutrients) rather than the amount calories in foods. If the majority of diet is whole plant foods and you're eating until you're satisfied, you're doing pretty damn well.
