Have you ever found yourself in a difficult situation and then suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, someone steps forward with help or answers to the questions which are holding you back?  Come with me, my friends, back to Jerusalem almost exactly 2500 years ago. Similar to today, tensions are very high in the city as we rejoin the situation. Let’s reset the scene: For about 20 years Jewish exiles, returned from Babylon, have been slowly clearing the rubble and rebuilding part of demolished Jerusalem. They had begun work on the Temple but been strongly opposed and that work was halted. (Ezra 4:24) For years the Temple mount sat idle, except for the daily morning and evening sacrifices on the rebuilt Altar for Burnt Offerings. (Ezra 3:6)
