📖 Luke 2:22–24 (ESV)
22 And when the time came for their purification according to the Law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord
23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “Every male who first opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”)
24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the Law of the Lord, “a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”

Mary and Joseph obeyed God’s law with humility and sincerity.
They offered two young pigeons—the sacrifice allowed for those who could not afford a lamb.
This simple act reveals two profound truths:

1️⃣ God welcomes the worship of the humble.
2️⃣ Obedience matters far more than offering something impressive.

Jesus was consecrated to God through this offering—foreshadowing His future role as the true Passover Lamb who would take away the sin of the world.
