Introducing Charity Barton: Published Author & Podcaster

Charity has been buzzing in the media all year, having launched her podcast Only in Your Dreams and published her first book We Did THAT! A Black History Children’s Activity Book. Charity is a passionate storyteller and advocate for diverse narratives. She shares how she pivoted from a desire to start a YouTube channel in 2016 to producing a podcast in 2024. We explore her deep commitment to media literacy, her TEDx talk on the subject, and the pivotal experiences that shaped her career. Charity also speaks about the sacrifices involved in chasing dreams, the importance of community support, and how her new book fosters identity formation among children.
