After three straight seasons finishing in the top ten, the Hawkeyes football team didn’t have as much success from 2005-2007. Shonn Greene and Ricky Stanzi got the 2008 team humming, and 2009 was a special season with a gunslinger under center. An unfortunate injury to Stanzi ended the undefeated season, but an 11-2 finish and an Orange Bowl win made this a fun year for Hawkeye fans!
