Sean Samuel Kelly aka Storie Grubb is a musician and artist who cut his teeth in the Boise, Idaho music scene and now resides in Portland, Oregon. His prolific songwriting includes writing recording and releasing an album every month in 2019, and his most recent January 2021 album "crawlspace".Technical glitches aside, and a few minutes of lost audio from the Zoom call gremlins, we discuss a variety of topics circling his creative process. This includes his intense dream states and ability to lucid dream, living with the perspective of "Idle hands are the devil's workshop", being alcohol free for 10 years, the early influences of Nirvana, prolific Sharpie illustrations and creations, making art and playing shows with Built to Spill, navigating the capitalistic music system, and his new puppet project Slinky Beezle.
