The legendary Dr. John was born Malcolm John Rebennack, also called The Nite Tripper, he was a singer, pianist, songwriter, composer, recording artist, an inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, the recipient of 6 Grammys, he wrote and performed a very unique blend of music that frequently had the flavor of his native New Orleans.
