When House Atreides is called upon to assume control of the spice-mining operations on Arakas, the former residents, The Harkonnens, plot to destroy them, which The Emperor was counting on in the first place. Duke Leto Atreides, his wife Lady Jessica, and their son Paul must fight to survive in the harsh unforgiving deserts of Arakas as Paul works to embrace or avoid the destiny he sees in his terrifying visions.
