Along with a lot of people, we didn’t love Jurassic World when it was released in 2015, so we didn’t go into the sequel with a great deal of confidence. In its defence, it has a different director (horror specialist J.A. Bayona) and has ditched some of the more egregious sins of the earlier film (high heels, nasty treatment of women).
