Prayer and aggression. The soldier Paul describes does not have a javelin.
Prayer is our lifeline between us and God. It's how we get our instructions to utilize the armour, that we have been provided, in order for us to maneuver correctly on the battlefield. We are called to pray for our fellow soldiers and our leadership.
The only time a soldier would not have his javelin is when he was advancing on the enemy. Paul has clearly given us the description of a soldier at war, indicating the urgency of this message.
