27 - Film Retrospective: "Man of Steel"

“You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards.” In the spirit of Jor-El, that’s exactly what we aim to do here at The Project Infinite Podcast: give the listeners of podcasts an ideal to strive towards. This week, we embark on a three week odyssey dissecting the Zack Snyder trilogy of DCEU films. Every journey starts somewhere, so we start this one with 2013’s “Man of Steel,” a movie heralded by many (Courtney) as the greatest superhero movie of all time. We talk about what worked, what didn’t, what’s great, what’s confusing and why did we not get a Man of Steel 2? We discuss Henry Cavill’s legacy as the Man of Tomorrow and the message the movie tries to convey. Before that, we talk about the Moon Knight trailer, The Rock returning to the video game movie genre, the new Star Wars video game slate, the return of a Young Adult fantasy franchise on Disney+ and some casting for “Ahsoka.” Spoilers ahead for Man of Steel if you haven’t seen it and thank you as always to everyone who supports us.
