Cheryl Lacey is a Melbourne based advocate for education. As a 'navigator of the educational landscape', she investigates policies and practices and suggests directions for change. She works with parents, and professional educators, calling on them to make their voices heard in education related discussions.
As a parent herself and also a teaching background Cheryl understand all sides of education needs and can clearly see the changes that need to be made.

Note from me: I was deeply challenged throughout this interview, as a parent of three, to look at how much trust and faith I am putting into the school and staff to provide education to each of my children. Well after the interview ended I was still allowing what she shares to sink in. I will be interviewing her again once her book comes out, going deeper into how school can work better, and bring the family and community back into education decision making.
