#27 How to go from Fight or Flight to Present & Aware

In this episode, Annalise, Founder of Spirited Roots in Vancouver, explains to us what breathwork is, who is a shaman (and how to spot when someone is taking advantage of you by using this name) and how you can be grounded with your own roots while free with your spirit at the same time. 

We also focused our conversation on the parasympathetic system. When someone has experienced trauma they may be living in fight or flight mode constantly or in this state when triggered, that can then last for long, extended periods of time. You may also be living in these modes without realizing it. For example, bragging how busy you are, when really you are trying to run from your feelings. It takes awareness, consciousness and intention to start to transition to the parasympathetic system. When we live from this space, our bodies can then start to heal themselves, we find peace and feel clarity in the mind and callings from the heart.

It's time to go within, listen and apply this wisdom into our daily life.
