Jane Tewson is a charity worker and has been instrumental in the creation of several charitable institutions, including Comic Relief and Igniting Change. Comic Relief has raised more than 1 billion pounds, mainly for famine relief throughout Africa and the homeless in the UK. Jane was named by The Times as one of the most influential innovators of the 1990s and in 1999 she received a CBE from Queen Elizabeth II. Despite these achievements, it is Jane’s emphasis on grass roots charitable endeavours that has really defined her career. For Jane, charity must be personal, respectful and inclusive.
