27. Misquoted & Misunderstood - Understanding Misused Scriptures Part 3, Leviticus 24:20, "An eye for an eye..."
Week 3. We continue our series of Bible studies here at New Life regarding various scriptures that are often misquoted, misunderstood or misapplied. Sometimes we hear scriptures used to back up an idea or motive that isn't at all Biblical or within that scriptures context. Some scripture if used incorrectly can be dangerous. In this lesson we look at Leviticus 24:20 - "An eye for an eye....." Does this scripture really validate seeking our own vengeance on those that have wronged us? Some think so! Let's see what the Bible says about this topic.
We pray that these lessons help to understand, rightly dividing the word of truth and using the scripture within it's context as it is meant. These will also help you to defend the word of God against those who would purposely distort it.
