Some things are true, but cannot be spoken without causing discomfort or worse. Assumptions, decency, and politeness are all being used to ignore nuance and pretend that complexity doesn't exist. We're corralled into different pens and threatened if we dare to leave to check out the other cages or the spaces between them. But a free society cannot stand if it refuses to seek truth.
