さて、日本は9月に入り暑さも和らいで秋らしい気候になってきました。

この時期の日本の伝統としては、中秋の名月を愛でるお月見会があります。

旧暦の8月15日はちょうど秋の真ん中、中秋とされ、1年を通して最も月が美しい時期であるとされたことから、平安時代の貴族たちは、中秋の名月に月を眺めて和歌を詠む「観月の宴」を開いて楽しんでいました。お月見会では15夜にちなんで15個の月見団子とススキを月の神様「月読命（つくよみのみこと）」にお供えしお月見を楽しみます。

One of the Japanese traditions at this time of year is to hold an otsukimi (moon-viewing) party to admire the beautiful moon of mid-autumn.

The 15th day of the eighth lunar month is considered to be the middle of autumn, or mid-autumn, and the moon was considered to be at its most beautiful throughout the year. At the moon-viewing party, 15 moon-viewing dumplings and silver grass are offered to Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto, the god of the moon, in commemoration of the 15th night of the lunar month.

Ahora que ha llegado septiembre a Japón, el calor ha remitido y el tiempo se ha vuelto más otoñal.

Una de las tradiciones japonesas en esta época del año es celebrar una fiesta de otsukimi (visión de la luna) para admirar la Luna de Medio Otoño.

El día 15 del calendario lunar, que se encuentra en pleno otoño, se consideraba el momento más hermoso del año para ver la luna, y los aristócratas del periodo Heian (794-1185) disfrutaban celebrando "banquetes Kangetsu no utage” durante los cuales miraban la luna y recitaban poemas waka.
