1) REJOICE IN THE LORD - THANKSGIVING IN EVERYTHING

2) INTENTIONALLY PRACTICE LOOKING FOR & LISTING THE GOOD

GOD’S LIST OF TREASURES TO LOOK FOR & GIVE THANKS FOR...

“true” things - simply “not a lie”

“honorable” things – simply stuff “worthy of respect/honor, dignified, noble, serious”

“right” things – simply acts or decisions that are seem “fair to all”

“pure” things – simply “clean, modest or holy” words, acts, deeds or people

“lovely” things – simply things that are aimed “toward friendship or friendly” relationships

“good repute” – simply “well said stories, rumors, or reputations” about people or things

“excellence” – simply things we respect naturally about “manliness, valor, character, civic virtue”

“worthy of praise” – simply things – whether deeds or words –that provoke “lifting praise to God”

RATHER THAN BEING ANXIOUS, AND WHILE WE STAY READY TO PRAY WITH THANKSGIVING, THERE IS SOMETHING TO “DO”

THE GOSPEL IS OFTEN DESCRIBED AS “BELIEVING IN JESUS TO SAVE US FROM OUR SINS”. IN THIS EPISODE WE ARE CHALLENGED TO CONSIDER EMBRACING A DIFFERENT DEFINITION AS EACH OF US ARE LEARNING TO WALK FORWARD WITH GOD INTO OUR NEW YEAR.
