This special episode of Success in South Florida is dedicated to community, compassion, and lasting impact. Adam Rossen welcomes back Harlene Zweig, co-founder of In Jacob’s Shoes, for her second appearance on the podcast. Together, they shine a spotlight on the organization’s upcoming 15th Annual "Every Sole Counts" Gala and its incredible mission of providing dignity and opportunity to children across South Florida.
Founded in memory of Jacob Zweig, In Jacob’s Shoes has grown into a powerhouse of hope, distributing over 275,000 pairs of shoes, 120,000 pairs of socks, and 14,000 backpacks since its inception. What began as a small grassroots initiative has become a vital resource for schools, social service agencies, and families throughout Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties.
Adam and Harlene discuss the powerful stories that fuel this mission—like children who can’t attend school without proper shoes or uniforms, and young athletes who earn scholarships because of donated cleats and community leaders dedicated to making an impact. They also reflect on Rossen Law Firm’s long-standing partnership with the charity, including their unique “shoe counter” that tracks every referral-based shoe donation since 2017.
Giving back doesn’t require perfection—just a decision to take action. Whether through volunteering, donating, or attending the gala, everyone can play a role in shaping brighter futures for South Florida kids.
