Political polarization, which is fueled by the abandonment of Democratic norms, is so severe that multiple states are entertaining the idea of a national divorce. In this episode, I explore the cultural, historical and social dynamics that have brought us to this point. Furthermore, I discuss why the notion of a national divorce would be catastrophic for everyone involved.
