Our Scripture passage for this Sunday comes from the Gospel of Matthew 21:33–46. In this parable, Jesus continues to challenge the religious leadership of Jerusalem in an effort to motivate their positive response of faith to the message of the Gospel. While there are many good reasons that should motivate a person to accept the Gospel message, in this parable Jesus begins to also present the reality of negative judgment on those who reject His message. This teaching offers several challenging insights for us as disciples as well.
