#BlackLivesMatter
Where do we even start? We’re living in unprecedented times. And while I’m so glad this is being addressed right now (because let’s face it, if we aren’t all free and equal, none of us are), I also know how overwhelming it can feel as we realize how oblivious we’ve been. With protests all over the world waking up more people than ever, I bet you’re wondering how you can start helping Black Folx right now.
I had that same question, so I started to educate myself and that’s what has inspired this episode. I wanted to openly share resources, tell y’all what I’m doing, how I’m learning and (hopefully) be an example for those among us who have had the privilege to snooze along until very recently. I realize I’m not perfect and I’m gonna mess up, but as a White woman with a platform, my aim is to amplify melanated voices, now and in the future, more than ever. I look forward to having more interviews on my podcast to keep the discussion going.
I’m here, I’m listening, I’m learning!
