#28: Is Hip Hop (Originality) Dead?
For this episode of the show, we kick things off with T-Pain's Twitch rant on how everything in hip hop sounds the same and how no one right now is being original. We give our hot takes on if T-Pain is right about no one standing out and doing anything different and find out who says originally is dead in the genre. Next up, Royce da 5'9 had a lot to say about West Coast rappers in a tweet (July 11) by saying that the rappers out West are making the best albums right now. See if we agree or disagree with Royce's comments on west coast rap today and which coast is making the albums if we do disagree with his comments. Also, with Drake out and about taking a woman on a date at Dodger Stadium, working out and being spotted at basketball games, we ask the question: "Should we and the fans care about Drake's album Certified Lover Boy coming out?" since Drake's album was slated to come back out in February. Plus, the Rolling Loud Festival for 2021 will live in Miami and will feature two matches from WWE SmackDown at their festival (July 23) we ask if it's a great move on both parties to work together and if it'll bring more black fans to WWE's product as well.
