I studied Elon Musks @twitter feed for the last 27 days, here’s 10 things that I’ve learnt.

1/ Twitter is the most interesting place on the internet right now, it’s alive, twisting and bending with creative energy.

2/ Good humour matters, even when everyone and everything seems against you, humour will win the day.

3/ Big corporations pulling there advertising budgets, is to the gain of the shareholders, not there customers. They will come back.

4/ Reduction of the workforce is a by product of cost reduction for now. But is also a sign that there were surpluses.

5/ Montisation will come, and it will come in many forms, content creators will win.

6/ Verification will signpost ownership, this is critical to the future, people buy people.

7/ “Please note Twitter will do some dumb things in the coming months”, they won’t be dumb. Test, measure and learn.

8/ DAU - daily active user, it’s growing, and small growth is the hardest, but it’s growing from day one of Elons ownership, real users.

9/ Citizen journalists - love this concept he’s coined, a chance for us all to share local, personal and insightful news.

10/ People do matter, inside and out, few want to see this, there is not much news in it, but a great team is forming.

I’ve found the story so far fascinating, some want it to fail, (which is obvious FAANG and others), but some want to see a company evolve, and live, and be alive, because it’s what we all need.

It’s alive and growing.

Simple.
