The Lord often promises to protect His people -- to lead and direct them, be their shield, and fight their battles. The Lord also warns of the rebukes and chastisements that will come to His people if they fail to serve Him and keep His commandments. In these uncertain times, when the Lord's promises of protection may become increasingly important, what can we learn from how they have, or have not, been fulfilled in the past? What can we do to more fully qualify for the Lord's promises of protection?
