After comedian Gary Gulman's last Netflix special premiered in 2016, he went down a dark hole, going as far as to check himself into a mental hospital and undergo electroshock treatments. He has since recovered and turned his experience into an hour-long special, with the goal of making depression easier to talk about through comedy.
