Frank Merrick is the Director of FIRST Robotics Competition which is a worldwide competition for 6-18 year olds to design & engineer robots to complete industry-related objectives, as well as gain business and social-emotional skills preparing them to be 21st century leaders. FIRST has impacted MILLIONS of young people worldwide since it started 30 years ago across 100+ countries.

Frank previously spent two decades in engineering & manufacturing from the US Air Force, to Hutchinson, to Rockwell Automation. He gives us a behind the scenes look into the complexity of designing, procuring, creating, distributing, and building relationships with stakeholders in what goes into the nearly flawless interactions we have on a daily basis with the machines and services we engage with.
