Ma Anand Sheela (also known as Sheela Birnstiel and Sheela Silverman) is an Indian-born Swiss woman who was the spokesperson of the Rajneesh movement (aka Osho movement). The commune, based in Oregon, attracted over 200,000 visitors each year and generated over a $150 million in revenue annually. The Netflix documentary “Wild Wild Country” is an account of those previously lived experiences.
In this episode, I ask Ma Anand Sheela about her ability to lead and organize such a community, her time with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh ( Osho) As well as discuss her more recent projects.
